Six thousands of international attorneys gathered in Boston in October to attend the week-long International Bar Association's 2013 Annual Conference, including our Partner –Askhad Koshkarbayev.

This year’s annual conference of the International Bar Association (“IBA”) in Boston brought together practitioners from all over the world to meet, share, experience, develop business and learn from one another. The International Bar Association is the global voice of the legal profession, and it is the world’s leading organisation of lawyers, bar associations, and law societies.

The key note speakers of the conference included Madeleine K Albright, Justice Stephen Breyer as well as Paul Volcker. The conference will offer more than 180 working sessions, that cover all relevant areas of practice for international legal practitioners.

Askhad Koshkarbayev also attended the Harvard Law School's Program on the Legal Profession at Harvard University: "Preparing for the Future—Changes in Structures, Technology & Regulation," a keynote address and panel discussions that focused on the future of the global legal profession.

The International Bar Association (IBA), established in 1947, is the world’s leading organisation of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies. Through its global membership of individual lawyers, law firms, bar associations and law societies it influences the development of international law reform and shapes the future of the legal profession throughout the world. The IBA’s administrative office is in London. Regional offices are located in São Paulo, Brazil; Seoul, and South Korea while the IBA’s International Criminal Court Programme is managed from an office in The Hague.
