As trade between the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan continues to grow so does the importance of understanding various recurring issues that arise in cross-border transactions and the most effective ways of addressing them.

The new Astana International Financial Centre brings in its wake an increase in commercial transactions governed by English law and an inevitable increase in commercial disputes. Therefore, it is important for business and their advisers to have advanced knowledge of how the English law principles can be used in Kazakhstan and a practical understanding of how their interest can be best protected.

A team of leading English and Kazakh practitioners will discuss these topics.

- capital markets and M&A transactions

- project finance and public private partnership

- Dispute resolution - international arbitration

- Astana International Financial Centre - legal implications

The conference is aimed at senior representatives from leading companies, law firms and financial institutions from both the UK, Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The working language for this event is English.

The seminar will be followed by a networking reception.
