Amir Begdesenov Participating in IFC Seminar “Modern Aspects of Corporate Secretary Efficiency”

On 28 November 2012, International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, held a seminar in Almaty devoted to the modern aspects of corporate secretary efficiency.

The seminar participants discussed the key issues of international and Russian practice in relation to corporate secretary activities, as well as the values, objectives, SWOT analysis and planning of corporate secretary activities. Part of the seminar was conducted in the form of business games.

Amir Begdesenov, Senior Associate, made a presentation on the latest developments in the legislation concerning joint stock companies. The presentation covered the latest amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Joint Stock Companies. Amir provided the participants with the previous and current versions of the Law. Besides, he dealt with the implications of the adopted amendments.

Upon the seminar completion, its participants were awarded certificates.
