Changes to the Work Permit Rules have entered into force
The Government of Kazakhstan by its Resolution* have brought changes to the Work Permit Rules**, which entered into force on 16 November 2015. The amendments rule out the possibility of extending the effect of the work permit to several regions (i.e. oblasts, Astana city and Almaty city). However, the modified Work Permit Rules provide for the possibility of sending an expatriate employee to business trip to another region for a maximum of 90 days (cumulative) within one calendar year.
Sayat Zholshy & Partners has prepared a comparative table of the amendments (albeit currently in Russian only) which you can see by following this link. English summary is coming soon.
