Sayat Zholshy and Partners strongly recommended by the Chambers Asia Pacific 2017

The latest edition of Chambers Asia Pacific 2017 was published in January 2017.  Sayat Zholshy and Partners law firm was recommended in such areas of practice as Corporate and Finance and Dispute Resolution.

This year Chambers Asia Pacific 2017 singled out our Managing Partner Vitaliy Vodolazkin and Partner Arman Berdalin as notable practitioners in Kazakhstan.

Managing Partner Vitaliy Vodolazkin, the leader of Dispute Resolution practice is noted for his pragmatic approach to disputes, one interviewee reporting: "He has very good knowledge of the client's business.  He's very responsive and he provides the response in a way, and in the timeframes, we need." His flexibility is also praised by an interviewee who notes: "He can offer not just one way, but two, three, four options to solve a problem."

The team of Vitaliy stands out for its handling of antitrust issues; also experienced across a wide range of dispute types, including corporate and contractual issues, IP matters and disputes with state authorities.  Represents heavyweight local clients and significant international corporate entities.

Partner Arman Berdalin leads Corporate Law and Finance, M&A.  He specialises in corporate matters, provides local law support to regional and domestic clients on a range of corporate structuring, joint venture and M&A mandates.

The team of Arman is noted for its handling of mid-market transactional mandates and a broad range of corporate governance and antitrust issues.  Acts for both domestic and international clients in the corporate and financial services sectors and regularly advises international law firms on local issues.

In mid-January this year, our Senior Partner Rustam Ilzhanov attended the official ceremony of Chambers Asia Pacific 2017 presentation in Hong Kong.  The Editor of Chambers Asia-Pacific thanked the participants – mainly representatives of Hong Kong, Mainland China and Singapore law firms – and their clients for their time and effort deployed in preparing their corporate profiles and giving interviews for rating purposes.
